Forget For A Moment Foundation founder and president, Jeannine Lafrenière, has been invited to participate on a panel on tech innovation in the healthcare system. The HIP613 Social Festivus event will bring together healthcare and non-healthcare professionals that have different skillsets and are equally passionate about solving problems. Participants will include leaders in design, medicine and technology who will help to re-imagine problems and solutions to frontline health care problems. This event follows the launch last month of the Health Innovation Program by Hacking Health Ottawa in partnership with CHEO-OCTC. Hacking Health Ottawa aims to transform healthcare by connecting healthcare professionals with designers, developers, innovators and entrepreneurs to build realistic solutions to front-line healthcare problems that can be integrated and implemented into our healthcare system.

Jeannine will offer her insights, from the perspectives of both a patient and as someone close to a sick person, on the healing power of nature and the importance of incorporating natural structures into the design of all new construction and renovations. The HIP613 Social Festivus event will take place on Wednesday, January 11 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at Impact Hub Ottawa.
