Talks with Montfort

We are pleased to announce that our Foundation has entered into discussions with Montfort in anticipation of building a living wall in the Orléans Health Hub. Currently in the planning stages, the Hub will be a new centre offering a unique and innovative model that will bring a wide range of specialized and community healthcare services under one roof. Once the project is completed, residents of the greater Orléans area, from newborns to seniors, will have access to integrated programs close to home, focused on their needs and offered in both official languages.

Since the fall of 2016, our team has had exploratory meetings with Health Hub Project Team, and the project’s Planning Committee. Following this last encounter, the Planning Committee recommended that the Orléans Health Hub project team carry out a more detailed analysis once the project architects have been hired, and that they proceed with a financial analysis with the objective of a recommendation Montfort’s Management Committee by this coming June.

The proposed design for the living wall is the Monarch butterfly wing shown below.
